Lubricating Lathe

THE LATHE

MUST BE LUBRICATED

BEFORE CONTINUING!

Refer to the Lubrication

Section in this Manual

for Recommended

Lubrication.

The lathe must be properly lubricated before it

can be operated for the first time.

Damage caused to the bearings and bushings

from running the lathe without lubrication

will not be covered under warranty. Refer to

Lubrication, beginning on Page 51, for details

on how to lubricate the lathe.

Power Connection

After you have completed all previous

preparation instructions and power supply

requirements, the machine is ready to be

connected to the power supply.

To avoid unexpected startups or property

damage, use the following steps whenever

connecting or disconnecting the machine.

Connecting Power

1. Turn the master power switch on the front of

the headstock OFF.

2. Insert the power cord plug into the matching

power supply receptacle. The machine is now

connected to the power source.

Disconnecting Power

1. Turn the master power switch on the front of

the headstock OFF.

2. Grasp the molded plug and pull it completely

out of the receptacle. Do not pull by the cord

as this may damage the wires inside.
