1 Select ”REC MODE ?” then

”TWIN REC ?”.

2 Start recording.

Twin recording onto MD and tape

(TWIN REC)

(Main unit only)

All the tracks on a CD can be recorded simultaneously onto an MD and tape. (All-track twin recording)
The current track can be recorded from the beginning simultaneously onto an MD and tape. (single-
track twin recording)

Convenient Recording Methods

To interrupt a recording

( Recording and playback will be

stopped.)

At the end of the recording

MD recorder

: Stop.

Cassette deck : Stop is executed after an unre-

corded portion of about 4 sec. has
been produced.

“WRITING” displayed during the minidisc ejection
operation indicates that the data associated with
recording or editing is being written on the disc. Do
not apply vibration or shock to the unit while this
message is displayed.

Always remove the disc after recording.

Make the preparations for recording.

1 MD : Perform steps 1. of the procedure in ”Recording on MD”.

TAPE : Perform steps 1. to 3. of the procedure in ”Recording on tape”.

2 Insert disc in the CD player.

Be sure to put the MD recorder and cassette deck in stop mode.

Check the current play mode of the CD player.

Start recording.

TWIN REC (single-track twin recording)

Turning the knob switches the function as shown in
the character information display.

÷ If the “set/demo” key is pressed when the

“TWIN REC (single-track twin recording)”

mode is set, the pickup

returns to the beginning of the track that is currently playing, the “REC” indicator lights and recording starts.

Select the desired CD track and play it.

To record other tracks using ”TWIN REC (single-track
twin recording)”
, repeat steps

2 and 3 for each track.
