Parameters

y Disassociated Timeout: The AP will be disassociated after idling for the minutes specified.

y

Fragment Threshold:

Breaking a packet into smaller units when transmitting over a network medium

that cannot support the original size of the packet.

y CTS/RTS Threshold:

Request To Send. A packet sent when a computer has data to transmit. The

computer will wait for a CTS (Clear To Send) message before sending data.

y Beacon Interval (ms): Enter a value between 20 and 1000 msec. The default value is 100 milliseconds.

The entered time means how often the beacon signal transmission between the access point and the

wireless network.

y Preamble Type: The length of the CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) block for communication between

the Access Point and roaming wireless adapters. Select either Short Preamble or Long Preamble.

y Tx Power Level: Choose which Tx power level desired from the drop-down menu.

y Protection Type: Select a protection type from the drop-down menu.

y Short Slot Time: Choose to enable or disable.

y Protection Mode: Select a protection mode from the drop-down menu.

y Protection Rate: Choose a suitable protection rate.

Click “Configure” to set each individual profile.
