Confirming Network Connection

The Ping function allows you to check if each device on the WAN (Internet) side or LAN (Home) side
is connected to this product on a TCP/IP network. When a device is connected successfully, Success!
is displayed.

Notes

Even if the website can be accessed, sometimes it cannot respond to the Ping.

When the host name cannot be found in the DNS, "XXX is not found" is displayed.

An IPv6 address cannot be entered.

1.

Click [Ping] on the setup page.

2.

Enter the IP address (e.g. "192.168.0.1") or
host name of the device you would like to
check.

Click [Cancel] to return the IP address or
host name fields to a blank field.

3.

Click [Ping].

When a device is connected successfully,
the window on the right is displayed.

When there is no response from the
specified IP address, the window on the
right is displayed.
