Table 5-7. TR 069 Client Configuration Settings

Settings

Description

Internet Connection

Select the Internet connection for which you want to configure TR 069 Client
Configuration from the drop-down list.

Connect to ACS

Select to connect to an ACS (auto configuration server) with or without SSL
(Secure Socket Layer) protocol:
without SSL. Select this mode if the ACS URL starts with http://.
with SSL. Select this mode if the ACS URL starts with https://.

ACS URL Address

Enter the URL address of the ACS. This address is provided by your ISP.

ACS User Name

Enter the user name that is required to connect to the ACS. This user name is
provided by your ISP.

ACS Password

Enter the password that is required to connect to the ACS. This password is
provided by your ISP.

Connection Request
User Name

The Connection Request User Name is identical to the user name that you
specified in

“Changing the Password” on page 2-1

. The ACS uses this user name

to communicate with the modem router.

Connection Request
Password

The Connection Request Password is identical to the password that you specified
in

“Changing the Password” on page 2-1

. The ACS uses this password to

communicate with the modem router.

Periodic Transmission
of Inform Request:

Select to enable or disable the periodic transmission of inform requests:
Disabled. The modem router will frequently report its status to the ACS.
Enabled. The modem router will report its status to the ACS only when the

connection between the modem router and the ACS has been set up.

Transmission Interval
of Inform Request

If the periodic transmission of inform requests is enabled, enter the time in seconds
between each request. The default setting is normally configured by your ISP and
you usually do not have to change the setting.

Identify the Validation
of Certificate from ACS

Check with your ISP to find out if the certificate has already been imported into the
modem router. If not, click the Trusted CA Certificates hyperlink to import a
certificate that is obtained from your ISP. A new screen opens to let you import,
view, apply, or delete an import certificate.
Make sure that the time zone for the modem router is the same as the one for the
ACS. To synchronize your time with the serve, click the Advanced..Internet Time.
