Printer Administration Menu Bar
The Menu Bar provides the following options:
Refresh:
Retrieves updated status information from
networked printers.
Configure:
Enables the selection of LAN card
configuration, NetWare configuration, TCP/IP and
printer configuration. Configuration options are also
available through the buttons in the Printer
Administration window.
note:
Select one of the printers in the printers list
before selecting any options from the Configure menu.
LAN Card:
Displays LAN Card Parameters dialog
box. This menu option has the same function as the
LAN Card button in the Printer Administration
window.
NetWare:
Displays NetWare Configuration dialog
box. This menu option has the same function as the
NetWare button in the Printer Administration
window.
TCP/IP:
Displays TCP/IP Parameters dialog box.
This menu option has the same function as the
TCP/IP button in the Printer Administration
window.
Printer Configuration:
Displays Printer
Configuration dialog box for the selected printer.
This menu option has the same function as the
Printer button in the Printer Administration
window.
Sort:
Use the Sort Menu option to sort the printer
display by the following keys:
•
printer name
•
MAC address
•
IP address
•
hardware type
•
LAN card firmware version
Filter:
The Filter menu allows you to specify which
printers appear in the Printer Administration window.
You can display all Silentwriters on the network or
select Silentwriters by IP address.
Option:
Option allows you to change time and display
settings.
Time Definition:
Opens the Time Definition dialog
box which allows you to define the status polling
rate and response timeout.
Preference:
Opens the Preference dialog box which
allows you to define which parameters appear in
the printer list in the Printer Administration
window.
Help:
Enables the selection of explanations or version
information. The online help system and NEC 1765
Administration software dialog box are also available
through buttons in the Printer Administration Window.
Index:
Displays the index to the online help system.
This menu option has the same function as the Help
button in the Printer Administration window.
About:
Displays the About NEC 1765
Administration software dialog box, which includes
the version number and release date. This menu
option has the same function as the About button in
the Printer Administration window.
