Programming Menu Instructions

a.

Select and enter a specific device (e.g., DVD, Video Acc, Tuner/Amp) to use an IR device code from the built-in library.

i.

DEVICE CODE – Select and enter the source’s IR device code number from the Reference section of this manual.

ii.

TEST IR? – Select and enter Yes to send a power command to the source to test IR operation. Select and enter
No to skip the test.

SUCCESS? – If the power command turned off the source, select and enter Yes; otherwise select and enter
No. Entering No returns the procedure to DEVICE CODE to allow selection of another code number.

Select and enter Learned IR if the IR device code library doesn’t support the source. (See Learn IR Procedure on
page 25.)

i.

LEARNED SRC – Select and enter the Learned Source location assigned to the source component.

ii.

TEMPLATE TYP – Select and enter a template type for the source (e.g., DVD, Video Acc, Tuner/Amp). This
maps learned commands and text to specific keys.

c.

Select and enter Unassigned to clear the source template. All key assignments and other settings for the source will be
erased. Procedure advances to SAVE CHANGES (step 6).

USE NUM IR? – Select and enter Yes if the source has numeric IR functions, such as selecting a disc, channel, or preset (See
Source Numeric IR Procedure on page 32 for advanced settings and more information). Otherwise select and enter No.

HIGHEST NUM – Select and enter the highest possible number for the numeric IR function; for example, a 100-disc CD
player would have a highest number of 100.

AUTO PLAY? – Select and enter Yes to have the keypad issue a Play command whenever the source is selected. This option
is skipped if the selected command type doesn’t have a Play command.

6.

SAVE CHANGES? – Select and enter Yes to save changes. Procedure returns to SOURCE NUM to allow configuration of
another source.

Press the Setup

button to back out of the procedure.
