Operating the SL-20

Recording/Loop Playback

The SL-20 lets you record up to forty seconds of sounds played with slice patterns.

After the recording is completed, loop playback of the sound begins. This allows you
to perform with backing from the recorded sound.

* You cannot record while the pedal mode (p. 3) is set to MOMENTARY.

* Recorded phrase lengths are automatically adjusted to measure units.

1.

Press and hold down the START/STOP pedal for at least two seconds to put the SL-
20 in recording standby mode.

The START/STOP indicator lights up, and the REC indicator starts flashing.

* You can cancel the recording standby status by pressing and holding down the START/STOP pedal

for at least two seconds while the SL-20 is in recording standby.

2.

Press the START/STOP pedal to begin recording.

The START/STOP indicator goes out, and the REC indicator lights steadily, instead of
flashing.

* Recording begins from the start of the beat.
