7 Grasp the center of the end of the media at the
front of the machine, and slowly pull the media
out straight to the position shown in the figure.
8 Slowly turn the media flanges at the back of the machine to pull back the media to the position shown
in the figure.
When you roll back the media until the sensor comes into view, a tight seal is formed between the media and the platen, and
the media is stretched taut.
9 With the media pulled out from the roll stretched
taut with no slack, move the loading lever to-
ward LOAD.
The pinch rollers lower to hold the media in place.
10 Close the front cover, and press the [SETUP]
key. This detects the width of the media and
displays the printable width.
