Chapter 1 Playing the Keyboard

Using the Metronome

Here’s how you can make use of the metronome.

1.

Press the [

(Metronome)] button to have the metronome

sound.

The

[

(Metronome)] button’s indicator flashes in red and green in time

with the beat selected at that time. The indicator lights in red on the
downbeats, and in green on weak beats.

2.

To stop the metronome, press the [

(Metronome)] button

again.

Changing the Tempo

1.

Press the [Display] button, getting its indicator to light in

orange.

The tempo is displayed.

Press the [-] or [+] button to adjust the tempo.

Changing the Volume

The volume of the metronome can be adjusted, with ten volume levels
available.

This is set to “5” when the instrument is turned on.

While holding down the [

(Metronome)] button, press the

[-] or [+] button.

The currently selected metronome volume is displayed.

Pressing the [Display]
button alternately displays
the tempo, the currently
selected Rhythm number
(indicated by an initial ”r“),
and the currently selected
Song number (indicated by
an initial ”S“).

Only the display of the
tempo and rhythm number
alternates when you press
the [Display] button while

Partner.
