❒ Make the original type settings under [Scanner Features], [Original Type Set-
ting] . In [Original Type Setting], you can change settings for [Type 1(Color:
Text)] , [Type 2(Color: Photo)], [Type 3(B&W: Text)], and [Type 4(B&W: Photo)]. By
changing these settings, it is also possible to scan originals in gray scale.

❒ To scan files when [Dropout Color Settings] is enabled under [Scanner Fea-
tures] , select [Type 3(B&W: Text)] or [Type 4(B&W: Photo)]. [Original Type Setting]
under [Scanner Features] determines whether [Type 3(B&W: Text)] or [Type
4(B&W: Photo)]
