Replacing the Toner Cartridge and Cleaning Pad

Press down gently but firmly on
both sides of the pad to make sure
that it is inserted as far as it can
go.
Important
❒ Do not forget to install the
cleaning pad whenever you in-
stall a new toner cartridge.

Prepare the new toner cartridge.
Holding the toner cartridge by its
handle, gently shake it side to
side 5 or 6 times to evenly distrib-
ute the toner inside.
Note
❒ Be sure to hold the toner car-
tridge by its handle.

Look inside the machine and note
the locations of the arrows that in-
dicate the toner cartridge guides
on either side.

Make sure the plastic pins
(marked with “
p p p p” in the step GGGG il-
lustration) on either side of the
toner cartridge slide along the
guides inside the machine.
