Connecting the Machine
Before using the machine, connect the
machine to the telephone line proper-
ly. Then plug in the power cable and
switch on.
Make sure the machine is properly
connected to the telephone line and
the power outlet, as shown in the fol-
lowing.
R CAUTION:
Program the Telephone Line Type
setting (use Function 62; see P.42 “Set-
ting the Phone Line Type (Function
62)”). If your telephone normally
sends out tones (touch tone) when di-
aling, use the TT setting; if it normally
sends out pulses (rotary dial), use the
DP setting. Also, make sure that the
switch on the handset is set up cor-
rectly.
Limitation
❒ This function is not available in
some areas.
Do not switch on until everything is con-
nected properly.
