Recording

• To avoid acoustic feedback (a whine or

howling sound), do not connect external
speakers when you’re recording via a mic.

• To prevent malfunction and/or damage to

speakers or other devices, always turn down
the volume, and turn off the power on all
devices before making any connections.

Settings for the type of mic you’re using

External mic type setting

Here’s how to switch the mono/stereo setting as
appropriate for the mic that’s connected to the MIC
jack.

If you’re using a monaural mic, and record with
the external mic type set to STEREO, only the L
channel will be recorded. If you use the
monaural setting, the same sound will be
recorded on the L and R channels.
