Use a commercially-available audio cable (stereo mini plug, 3.5mm, with no resis-
tance).

Adjust the volume level of the external audio device while playing the
recording source.

Hint:

· Try a test recording to find an appropriate recording level.

Press the [FOLDER/A-B REPEAT] button to select the “L” folder.

Note:

· The ALC function is automatically turned off during recording to the “L” folder.

Play the recording source on the external audio device and press the
[REC/PAUSE ]

button.

Recording starts.

Note:

· A recording mode of “MP3:192kbps” will be selected automatically. You cannot select

any other mode option.

· While you are recording audio through the line input from the connected external

device, no audio will be heard from the speaker. Use the headphones to listen to the
audio being recorded.

7.

Press the [STOP/ESC

] button to stop recording.

Stop playback on the external device.
