2. Testing continuity on communication cable.
a) Unplug the communication cable from the DataLogger or PC.
b) Bring both ends of the communication cable close enough together to reach with a
voltmeter.
c) Set your voltmeter to resistance (or continuity). Check continuity between the
following pins: (Figure 3.)
(you will need to insert a solid-conductor wire or paper clip attached
to a wire into the sockets of the serial connector unless your
voltmeter leads are very small)
