Using your Silent Series grand piano as
a MIDI keyboard — MIDI OUT
You can use MIDI to send performance data
to a sequencer or appropriately configured
personal computer. You can also use MIDI
to play a synthesizer or tone generator (see
the illustration on page 41).
NOTE:
Connecting a sequencer or personal com-
puter instead of a synthesizer makes it pos-
sible to store your performance as MIDI
data for subsequent playback.
Connect one end of a MIDI cable to the
MIDI OUT terminal at the back of the con-
trol box, and the other end to the MIDI IN
of the other instrument.
On the MIDI instrument, set the Receive
Channel to 1, or set OMNI ON (refer to
the instructions for the other instrument).
Start playing the piano. When you play a
note, the MIDI data for that note will be
received by the other instrument, which
will play the note.

Sie können MIDI dazu benutzen, Ihr Spiel als

HINWEIS:
Der Anschluß an einen Sequenzer oder einen
Computer mit einem Sequenzerprogramm
ermöglicht Ihnen, Ihr Spiel als MIDI-Daten
für späteres Abspielen aufzuzeichnen.
Verbinden Sie das eine Ende eines MIDI-
Kabels mit der Buchse MIDI OUT des
Steuerkastens, und das andere Ende mit
dem Eingang MIDI IN des anderen Instru-
ments.
Stellen Sie den MIDI-Empfangskanal des
anderen MIDI-Instruments auf 1, oder
wählen Sie OMNI ON (lesen Sie dazu die
Anleitung des anderen Instruments).
Spielen Sie auf der Tastatur. Wenn Sie eine
Note spielen, werden die MIDI-Daten die-
ser Note von dem anderen Instrument
empfangen, welches dann diese Note
spielt.
