Appendix B. Using a Presets File

Presets are a convenient way to
quickly change the settings that are
associated with a COM port. Rather
than retype an IP address, TCP port
number and all the other configuration
settings, you can keep them in a
comma-delimited text file and then
use an optional Presets pull-down
menu to access them conveniently.

The Presets file is a text file
containing the preset values. It must
be named "presets.txt" and must
reside in the same folder where the
Serial/IP Redirector software is
installed, typically:

C:\Program

Files\Tactical

Software\SerialIP\

Note: The Presets pull-down menu
will appear in the Serial/IP Control
Panel only if the presets.txt file exists.
