Determine which of the required parameters need to be high priority or low priority when

communicating with AV-300i Drive. High priority parameters can be accessed much more quickly than
low priority parameters. There is a limit of six high priority parameters. (See Chapter 2 for information
covering high and low priority parameters in this user manual (Horner Genius

Install the SBI Card (GEN250/251) into the AV-300i Drive. (See Chapter 8 for procedures.)

Wire the Genius Network and the SBI Card (GEN250/251). (See Chapter 7 for wiring

diagrams.)

Configure the SBI (GEN250/251) using GE Control System Toolbox Software. Upon completing

the configuration, information is provided that is useful to know for configuring the Genius Bus Controller
(GBC) and for writing the Ladder program. (See Chapter 3 for GEN250/251 configuration
procedures.)

Note: It is highly recommended that the user refer to the GE Control Toolbox Help File at this time
to obtain highly useful information regarding the Genius Network Configuration. Select Help, click on
Contents, click Index tab, and type Genius Configuration.

6.

Configure the Genius Bus Controller (GBC) using Logicmaster 90. Using summary screen

information from the GEN250/251 configuration, determine the Global Data length and the Directed
Control Data
length as well as baud rate and network id information. (See Chapter 5.)

7.

Write the Ladder program and refer to the summary information in the GEN250/251 configuration.
