1. For 400/500 kVA UPS Only. Facing the back of the UPS, there are shipping restraints (yellow shipping
brackets and bolts) connected to the top inductor on the left side of the UPS. This bracket and
hardware must be removed prior to placing the UPS in its final installation location. Yes__ No__ N/A__
2. All packing materials are removed from UPS and battery cabinet and each is placed in its final installed

3. Adequate workspace and clearances are provided around UPS and battery cabinet per NEC code and

4. The area around the UPS is clean (dust free) and free of conductive particles or moisture. Airborne
conductive particles can cause malfunctions of the UPS and possible damage to the UPS and its

5. Air conditioning is installed and operating properly. It should be sized for the maximum heat rejection
from the UPS at full load operation and recharging batteries. If the UPS will operate for a long period
during a power outage, then the hot air must be exhausted from the UPS room. The exhaust fan
should be powered by UPS output power. Otherwise, the UPS and battery will overheat and shut off

6. UPS internal input and output switches are open until the UPS is started (commissioned) by authorized
