The range around the setpoint in which the fans run at partial speed. Above the band the fans are full
speed, below the band the fans are off.
Condenser Fans Service Procedures
Transducer Replacement
1. Disable Variable Speed operation
2. Unplug the signal cable from the faulty sensor,
3. Unscrew the sensor.
4. Replace with new sensor and reconnect cable.
5. Enable Variable Speed operation
VFD Bypassing.
In the event of a VFD failure, the fans can be run directly from number 1 compressor contactor until
the VFD is replaced.
1. Shut off power to the chiller.
2. Remove VFD from control box on condenser.
3. Take the incoming power leads and connect to the fan leads terminal block
4. In the main enclosure move the leads from the bottom of the VFD fuse block into the
bottom of the number 1 compressor. Jumpers can also be used. Use the same gauge of
wire.
