Use the following steps to add oil to the vacuum pump.

IMPORTANT: For maximum unit performance, change the vacuum
pump oil after every 10 hours of operation.

Initial Setup

1. Plug a user supplied power cord into the unit and then into a correct

voltage outlet.

2. Turn ON the power switch on the unit’s control panel.

3. Remove the plastic plug from the oil fill port.

4. Pour about 177 mL (6 ounces) of oil into the oil fill port.

5. On the control panel, verify both panel valves are open and the service

couplers are disconnected. The screen will display:

6. Press the Start/Stop key ( )

to start the vacuum pump.

NOTE: At this time, the unit automatically evacuates all air from the unit.

CAUTION: The
vacuum pump is
shipped without
oil in the
reservoir. To
avoid pump
damage, add oil
before starting
the pump.

CAUTION:
Avoid using an
extension cord.
An extension
cord may
overheat and
cause fire. If you
must use an
extension cord,
use the shortest
possible cord
with a minimum
size of 14 AWG.
