AED/Advisory Parameters
The AED/Advisory parameters allow you to view and modify functions related to using the
X Series unit for automatic external and advisory defibrillation. The main level parameters in
this menu include:
• General
• Energy Protocol
• AED Mode
General
The following options allow you to set basic AED functions.
Power Up Mode
The Power Up Mode parameter allows you to set the mode in which the unit starts, or powers
up.
The values for the Power Up Mode parameter are:
Restart Analysis After CPR
When this parameter is set to Yes, the analysis starts automatically after the CPR interval
following each stacked shock sequence. Analyses do not automatically restart after a CPR
interval following No Shock Advised results. When this parameter is set to No, the PRESS
ANALYZE message is displayed, but the analysis does not restart.
Note: When the Power Up Mode parameter is set to Manual, this parameter is disabled.
The values for the Restart Analysis After CPR parameter are:
Manual Mode Analysis
The Manual Mode Analysis parameter allows you to set the form of Manual Mode Analysis.
The values for the Manual Mode Analysis parameter are:
Possible Values: Manual, AED
Default: Manual
Possible Values: Yes, No
Default: No
Possible Values: Single Analysis, Analysis/CPR Protocol
Default: Single Analysis
