2 Configuring Video Settings

The Video Tab enables you to adjust the settings for images and videos. This chapter provides

details on how to use these settings.

Note: Only the Auto-Cal setting will save between camera power cycles – all other
settings are temporary unless you click Save.

2.1 Display Settings

2.1.1 Display Adjustment Mode

The Display Adjustment Mode determines if the Brightness and Contrast are adjusted

automatically or manually by an operator. There are four options:

All Manual

The operator determines the brightness and contrast.

Automatic Brightness,

Manual Contrast

Camera controls the brightness level and the operator determines
contrast levels.

Automatic Contrast,

Manual Brightness

Camera controls the contrast level and the operator determines

brightness levels.

All Automatic

Camera controls both brightness and contrast.

2.1.2 Automatic Mode Settings

Automatic Mode Settings are only applicable when the camera controls brightness and/or

contrast.

There are three options:

Minimum Bias

The darkest (coldest) region of the image is used to set the video
brightness/contrast.

Average Bias

The average temperature of the image is used to set the video

brightness/contrast.

Offset Bias

An offset can be added to the automatically calculated
brightness/contrast values. This can be useful for displays that have
different settings and need tweaking.
