Wiring length guidelines

The Master requires a 12 VDC power from a PSN to operate properly. The unit should only have

one source of incoming power.

An auxiliary 12 VDC power supply can provide power to the Master. Refer to the following table

for wiring length information:

Wiring a 2-pin power connection

To use the NetLinx 2-pin 3.5 mm mini-Phoenix power supply jack for power transfer from the PSN

power supply to the rear of the NXC-ME260, the incoming PWR and GND cables from the PSN

must be connected to its corresponding location on the 2-pin 3.5 mm mini-Phoenix connector

(FIG. 5).

Using the 4-pin mini-Phoenix connector for data and power

Connect the 4-pin 3.5 mm mini-Phoenix (female) captive-wire connector to an external Netlinx

device, as shown in FIG. 6.

Using more than one source of power to the Master can result in damage to the
internal components and a possible burn out.
