For more details, select Infrastructure from the navigation list or click More at the bottom of
the Infrastructure portlet.

The details include information about the server enclosure, including power, airflow, and
thermal information; interconnects, power supplies, and OA logs.

Viewing host server information

To view information about the host server:
1.

Select a host in the inventory tree.

2.

Click the HP Insight Management tab.

The Overview page opens by default. The Host Information portlet displays an overview of
the host server.

3.

For more details, select Host Information from the navigation list or click More at the bottom
of the Host Information portlet.

Details about the host server configuration appears including status, memory, CPU and
firmware.

Viewing server networking information

To view information about a selected server:
1.

Select a server in the inventory tree.

2.

Click the HP Insight Management tab.

3.

Select Networking form the navigation list or click More at the bottom of the Networking
portlet.

NOTE:

This option is available in Virtual Connect environments only.

The Networking page displays configuration information such as a list of NICs and vSphere
switches, as well as Virtual Connect Network information.

To view a block diagram of the end-to-end network from the VM to the external switch (see

“Virtual

Connect Network Diagram” (page 30)

), select Network Diagram from the navigation list or click

Diagram on the Networking portlet. While viewing the diagram:

If you move the cursor over a Virtual Connect Ethernet network, iSCSI network, or FC SAN,
the end-to-end network connection appears brighter. Potential bottlenecks are indicated when
an information icon symbol is shown.

You can modify bottleneck thresholds by selecting Home

→Administration→HP Insight

Management Administration, and then select Server Module Configuration from the drop-down
list.

If you move the cursor over the information bubbles, details about the network hardware and
status are displayed.

If you move the cursor over a Virtual Connect uplink port, details about the port and connection
status appear. For Ethernet uplink ports, a network traffic graph is included.

A solid line indicates a primary network connection, proportioned according to bandwidth;
the thicker the line, the greater the bandwidth.

A dashed line indicates standby connections.
