TTY/TDD: Tap to choose a TTY/TDD mode, or to turn TTY/TDD mode off.

Speech

Configure options for using spoken commands to control your phone.

From any screen, press and hold the

Start Key to use Speech.

1. From

Start, swipe left to Apps, and then tap

Settings.

2. Swipe left or right to display System, and then tap speech.

3. Configure these options:

Use Speech when the phone is locked: Tap to enable or disable the option. When

enabled, you can press and hold the Start Key to use spoken commands, even when
the screen is locked.

Play audio confirmations: Tap to enable or disable the option. When enabled, your

phone reads out confirmations for your commands.

Read aloud incoming text messages: Choose an option for when you you’re your

phone to automatically read out of text messages. You can choose to have
messages read out all the time, or only when you are using an optional Bluetooth
and/or wired headset (not included).

Text to Speech voice: Choose a voice for your phone to use for text readouts.

Speech language: Choose a language for use with spoken commands.

Enable Speech Recognition Service: Tap to enable or disable the option. When

enabled, the words you speak, and other data, are sent to Microsoft to improve the
speech recognition service.

Find My Phone

Use the Find my phone option to allow your phone to save certain information, to make finding
the phone easier if you lose it.

 Send apps to your phone using push notifications (not SMS)
