Accept a waiting Caller
During an ongoing call your attention is drawn to a new call (external subscriber, alarm
or visitor on the door) by a knocking signal (tone in the receiver). To talk to the waiting
caller or to confirm the alarm you will have two options.
1. First you finish the ongoing call and accept the new call at the same time by pressing
the Alt key

2. You start a new call by pressing the R key

(query call). Then the ongoing call part-
ner will be put on Hold in the background.

If you like to prevent the knocking signal on your telephone, you can deactivate the
knocking (see operation manual of the PBX).
Initiate Query / Transfer
If you like to ask someone a question during a call or if you like to transfer your calling
partner, you can initiate a query. The ongoing call is interrupted to call another sub-
scriber. The 1st calling partner is put on hold in the background by the PBX during this
time and is listening to the Music on Hold.
You start a query call by pressing the R key
F
(query key) followed by dialing the tele-
phone number.
If you are in a query and like to connect the new calling partner with the partner on hold
in the background, you can do this by pressing the hook key
H
