Print Date (Imprinting Date and Time)

The shooting date and time can be imprinted on the
images when shooting, allowing the information to be
printed even from printers that do not support date
printing (

E76).

The current setting can be confirmed in the monitor when shooting (

A6). No indicator is

displayed when Off is selected.

Notes About Print Date

Imprinted dates form a permanent part of image data and cannot be deleted. The date and time

cannot be imprinted on images after they have been captured.

The date cannot be imprinted in the following situations:

- When using Night portrait (when Hand-held is selected), Night landscape (when Hand-

held is selected), Backlighting (when HDR is set to On), Easy panorama, or 3D
photography
scene mode

- When the continuous shooting setting (

A69) is set to Pre-shooting cache, Continuous H:

120 fps, or Continuous H: 60 fps.

- When shooting movies

Dates imprinted at an Image mode setting (

E49) of O 640×480 may be difficult to read. Select

an Image mode setting of q 1600×1200 or larger when using print date.

The date is saved using the format selected in the setup menu’s Time zone and date item

(

A20, E90).
