Clock not set.
Set date and time.

Battery exhausted.

Charge or replace battery.

Battery temperature
high

Battery temperature is high.
Turn off camera, and allow battery to cool down before
resuming use. After five seconds, this message will
disappear, the monitor will turn off, and the power-on lamp
will flash quickly. After the lamp flashes for three minutes,
the camera will turn off automatically. Pressing the power
switch also turns off the camera.

The camera will turn off
to prevent overheating.

Inside of the camera has become hot.
Turn off camera, and allow battery to cool down before
resuming use.

Camera cannot focus.
Refocus.
Use focus lock.

Wait until message clears from display automatically when

Memory card is write
protected.

Write-protect switch is in “lock” position.
Slide write-protect switch to “write” position.

Not available if Eye-Fi
card is locked.

Write-protect switch of Eye-Fi card is in “lock” position.
Slide the write-protect switch to “write” position.

Error accessing Eye-Fi card.
Check that terminals are clean.
Confirm that Eye-Fi card is correctly inserted.
