Recording Movies

Movies can be recorded at 24 fps by pressing the Pv button in live
view mode. If desired, choose a Picture Control (

0 170) and color

space (

0 183) before recording.

Choose a live view mode
in the shooting menu.

Press

G and select the

shooting menu. Select Live
view mode
, highlight an
option, and press

J:

Tripod: In modes g and h, movies are recorded at the selected

aperture (

0 123, 125).

Hand-held: The camera automatically adjusts aperture in

response to changes in subject brightness.

Matrix metering is used regardless of the metering method
selected. The camera adjusts shutter speed and ISO sensitivity
automatically.

Press the

a button.

The mirror is raised and the view through
the lens is displayed in the monitor
instead of the viewfinder.

Shutter speed and sensitivity are
displayed in live view and during
recording, but do not always apply to
movies. In Tripod mode, an exposure
preview can be displayed in live view or
during recording by pressing

J.
