SET UP items
Set the mode dial to SET UP. The SET UP
screen appears.
Factory settings are indicated with x.
• The date and time are not superimposed
onto moving images and Clip Motion
images. The date and time do not appear
on the LCD screen during shooting.
These appear only during playback.
• The hologram AF 1) or AF illuminator 2)
does not emit light in the following
conditions:
– Twilight mode
– Landscape mode

Item Setting Description
FINALIZE OK / CANCEL Finalizes a disc to allow viewing through a disc drive (page 44).
FORMAT OK / CANCEL Formats a CD-RW (page 42).
INITIALIZE OK / CANCEL Initializes a disc (page 21).
UNFINALIZE OK / CANCEL Cancels the last executed finalization (page 46) (CD-RW only).
