9.21 Specifying the method of setting the transmission source/reception
information (Header/Footer Position)
The location where Header and Footer is added is specified.
The location where Header and Footer is added is of following type respectively.
Header Position
- Inside Body Text: Transmission source information is written on the original and then printed.
- Outside Body Text*: Transmission source information is printed outside of the original.
- OFF: Transmission source information is not printed. (This setting is not available for the North
American models.)
* is a default value at the time of purchase.

Detail
[Outside the original] function cannot be used in Internet Fax/IP Address Fax. Transmission source
information is added within the original even if [Outside the original] is set.
Footer Position
- Inside Body Text: Reception time and reception number are printed as a superscript on the received
original.
- Outside Body Text: Reception time and reception are is printed on the lower part of the received
original.
- OFF*: Reception information is not printed.
* is a default value at the time of purchase.

[Outside the original] function cannot be used in color mode of IP Address Fax. Reception information
is added within the original even if [Outside the original] is set.
Setting Header/Footer Position

Display Administrator Settings screen after referring to "Displaying Administrator Settings screen" on
page 9-3.
– Header information is printed in the received document of the recipient. For details, refer to "Fax
Header Settings" on page 2-42.
– For details on the reception information, refer to "Footer setting" on page 3-12.

Touch [Fax Settings].
– Some items may not be displayed according to setting options.
– In the Utility mode, numbers displayed on buttons can be entered and selected with the keypad. For
[Fax Settings], enter [8] with the keypad.
