Storing and recalling
broadcast frequencies

With a touch of any of the preset tuning keys
(

to

), you can easily store up to six broad-

cast frequencies for later recall (also with the
touch of a key).

When you find a frequency that you

want to store in memory, keep touching a
preset tuning key

to

until the preset

number (e.g., P.CH1) stops flashing.
The selected radio station has been stored in
memory.

p Up to 18 stations, 6 for each of three FM

bands can be stored in memory.

Touch the same preset tuning key

The radio station frequencies are recalled from
memory.

Storing the strongest
broadcast frequencies

“BSM” (best stations memory) lets you auto-
matically store the six strongest broadcast fre-
quencies under the preset tuning keys

and, once stored there, you can tune in to
these frequencies with the touch of a key.

“Function Menu” screen.

Turn MULTI-CONTROL to display

“BSM”.

Press the centre of MULTI-CONTROL to

start

“BSM”.

BSM begins to flash. While BSM is flashing,
the six strongest broadcast frequencies will be
stored under the preset tuning keys

order of their signal strength. When this is
complete,

BSM stops flashing.

p To cancel the storage process, press the

centre of

MULTI-CONTROL again.

Tuning in strong signals

Local seek tuning allows you to tune in only
those radio stations with sufficiently strong
signals for good reception.

Turn MULTI-CONTROL to display

“Local”.

Pressing the centre of MULTI-CONTROL

switches between on and off.

Press MULTI-CONTROL left or right to

set the sensitivity.
There are four levels of sensitivity for FM.
FM:

Level1

— Level2 — Level3 — Level4

p The level “4” setting allows reception of only

the strongest stations, while lower settings
let you receive weaker stations.

Tuning into alternative
frequencies

If you are listening to a broadcast and the re-
ception becomes weak or there are other pro-
blems, the navigation system will
automatically search for a different station in
the same network that is broadcasting a stron-
ger signal.
