Both the rear-wall and finned evaporator
types have been designed with the larg-
est possible dimensions. This means that
there is a large surface area available for
heat exchange, which leads to greater
refrigeration performance and therefore
more rapid cooling of the interior.

Highly-efficient fans ensure that freshly
stored produce is cooled quickly, and that
the refrigeration temperature throughout
the entire interior remains uniform.

With decades of experience in refrigeration technology and continuous research and
development Liebherr guarantees the outstanding quality of its refrigeration appliances.
Liebherr uses only top-performance compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other
refrigeration components to vastly reduce both energy consumption and operating costs
of their laboratory appliances.

StopFrost system

Laboratory refrigerators with comfort electronic controllers
are fitted with a safety thermostat, which prevents stored
samples or medicines from freezing. In the event of a fault,
the safety thermostat takes control and prevents the interior
temperature from falling below +2 °C.

The StopFrost system offers two distinct
advantages: frosting over of the freezer
compartment and of its contents is vastly
reduced, so that defrosting is required far
less often; in addition, StopFrost rapidly
equalises the vacuum formed when the lid
is opened and closed. Therefore a Liebherr
laboratory chest freezer can be opened
effortlessly, even at – 45 °C.

An air duct on the back interior wall
facilitates optimum circulation of cold air.
The twin fans positioned by the evapora-
tor draw air across the evaporator posi-
tioned at the top of the appliance. Here,
the air cools down and is fed downwards
behind an air duct on the rear wall. This
results in the cold air constantly circulat-
ing and thus provides optimum tempera-
ture distribution within the interior.
