10. Remove the remaining bolts and copper washers around

outer edge of pump top plate.

11. Carefully lift and remove pump assembly from reservoir.

12. Wipe interior surfaces of reservoir. Thoroughly clean the

reservoir with a suitable cleaning agent.

WARNING: Follow manufacturer's directions when using
cleaning agents and solvents. Wear appropriate hand
and eye protection.

IMPORTANT: To avoid damage in the next step, do not pull on
the oil intake screen or the bottom of the oil intake.

13. Remove the oil intake screen for cleaning. Clean the screen

with solvent and a soft brush. Reinstall the screen after
cleaning.

14. Install a new reservoir gasket.

15. Reassemble the pump and reservoir, following steps 1

through 11 in reverse order.

Note: During reassembly, tighten fasteners to the following
torques:

• Top plate reservoir retaining bolts: Apply Loctite 243 to
threads and torque to 50-60 in-lbs [5,6-6,7 Nm].

• Roll cage bolts: Apply Loctite 243 to threads and torque to
120-140 in-lbs [13,5-15,8 Nm].

• Side panel bolts: Apply Loctite 243 to threads and torque to
60-72 in-lbs [6,7-8,1 Nm].

16. Fill the reservoir with clean Enerpac HF hydraulic oil (ISO

Grade 32). The reservoir is full when oil level is as shown in
Figure 2.

7.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
(See Troubleshooting Guide)

Only qualifi ed hydraulic technicians should service the pump or
system components. A system failure may or may not be the
result of a pump malfunction. To determine the cause of the
problem, the complete system must be included in any diagnostic
procedure.

The information in the troubleshooting guide is intended to be
used only as an aid in determining if a problem exists. For repair
service, contact your local Enerpac Authorized Service Center.

Pendant damage.

Repair pendant.

Cold oil.

Push circuit breaker button to reset (if tripped).

Run pump at 2000 psi [140 bar] for 5 minutes to
warm the oil before using pump.

Use Enerpac LX oil (ISO Grade 15) in cold climates.

Noisy Operation.

Air trapped in system.

Bleed air from system.

Reservoir breather not installed.

Remove shipping plug and install breather per
Section 4.1.

Low
