Carrying out restore and auto-restore

10. After the boot-up of the controller: Remove the USB stick from the controller.

Alternative: Windows Explorer - on "Directory/file" level

In case the controller does not start anymore it is possible to manually prepare a USB stick at the

Engineering PC, so that afterwards a restore can be carried out with it on the desired controller.

How to carry out a restore:

1. Connect the USB stick to the Engineering PC or the controller.
2. Start the Explorer
3. Change to the directory: <USB stick>\backup

It includes all backups and updates available on the USB stick.

4. Open the folder of the backup which you want to restore.

The folder name corresponds to the backup file name.

5. Copy the Restore.xml file.
6. Store this file one folder higher: <USB stick>\Backup
7. Copy the menu.lst file from the <USB stick>:\Backup\Copy_Backup_file

directory to the root directory of the USB stick: <USB stick>:\

8. Connect the USB stick to the controller on which you want to carry out a restore.
9. Restart controller (with connected USB stick) by mains switching.

The restore is automatically carried out during the boot-up process.

10. After the boot-up of the controller: Remove the USB stick from the controller.

Note!

Execution with the Windows Explorer is only possible if the USB stick used contains a

valid backup.
