2.2.6 LED Display

The LED displays at each battery position give a quick status of the battery contained in that
particular position. The status codes are on the “LED Display Information” label on the inside of the
top lid. This label is shown in Fig. 6 below for reference.

2.2.7 Input Power Protection

If the input voltage to the charger is less than 22V the low power LED on the control panel
illuminates. If the input voltage drops below 21V, the charger stops operating. Input power and low
power LEDs remain ON at this time but all charging/discharging activities will be stopped. If input
power becomes greater than 21V, the charger will resume operation only if the input power switch
is toggled.

2.2.8 Over Current Protection

If the input current is high an internal circuit breaker may activate. The circuit breaker is internal and
auto resets itself. No user intervention is required if circuit breaker activates. Circuit breakers are
distributed in groups of 3, one each for battery positions 1-3, 4-6, 7-9. They reset automatically
when fault is removed.

2.2.9 USB Connector

The USB connector on the charger is reserved for the following uses. First, the USB port allows
software and firmware upgrades to be made on the charger from a remote computer. Secondly, the
USB connector is provided for future ability to monitor and record single or multiple chargers on a
remote computer. This option is not available at this time. Contact Customer Service for more
information.
