5 PACKAGING AND SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS

The charger can be mounted to a vehicle or a rack for normal use. If it needs to be transported other
than in a vehicle, please observe the following guidelines.

 Whenever possible pack the charger in the original packing material as shown in Fig. 13.
 The charger should be packed such that it does not move about within the container. Failure

to do so might result in damage to charger exterior.

 Ensure that charger packing media has visible markings on the exterior that indicate proper

orientation.

 Use proper support. Whenever possible give full bottom support to the charger.
 Use padded material to cover the lid surface to protect it from falling objects during

transportation.

 The charger power cord, if packed with charger should be properly secured. Failure to do so

can result in damage to contact points.

 Always rest the charger on its bottom face. NEVER INVERT THE CHARGER AND REST IT

ON ITS LID.

 Do not stack unpacked chargers on each other. Stacking chargers one over the other may

damage charger lid surface.

 A fully packed charger is bulky and heavy. Use ‘team lift’ strategy to move the charger or use

appropriate moving equipment.
