Communication settings

To make communication settings, invoke the utility and click on the
“Configuration” button. When you have finished making the
settings, click on the OK button. You will then be prompted to
restart the system. Terminate the other applications and restart the
system.

ESS ID

The name of the wireless LAN to which the
terminal belongs. Wireless terminals with
different ESS IDs cannot communicate
with each other. You can break up a
network by assigning different ESS IDs to
the terminals.

A string of up to 32

The operation mode set to fit the form of
the LAN to be used. The ADHOC (Simple)
and Infrastructure (Standard/Brouter)

Option to enable or disable encryption of
wireless data. Note that encryption-
enabled and encryption-disabled terminals
cannot communicate with each other.
