Prerequisites for Implementing IPv6 VPN over MPLS
The following Cisco IOS services must be running on the network before you configure IPv6 VPN
operation:
• MPLS in provider backbone routers
• MPLS with VPN code in provider routers with VPN PE routers
• BGP in all routers providing a VPN service
• Cisco Express Forwarding switching in every MPLS-enabled router
• The ipv6 unicast-routing command enabled on VPN PE routers
