Recording your

favorite portions

Manual Recording

Use this method to record only certain
portions of a CD, or to record tracks in the
programmed order.

Press ^11 for the MD.

Recording starts.
If the CD is in playing pause, press Oil
for the CD to start playing the CD.

To stop recording

Press ■ for the MD.

Tip

Each time you press UPPER DISPLAY during
recording, the recording time and remaining time of
the MD appear alternately in the display.

Note
If recording is paused, a track number is assigned at
the fK>sition where recording was paused. In
addition, if tracks with the same track numbers from
the same CD or the same track numbers from
different CDs are recorded consecutively, only one
track number might be assigned.

Before pulling out the power cord
MD recording is completed when the MD Table of

Contents (TOC) is updated. The TOC is updated
when you eject the MD or press l/C!) (power) and
turn off the system. Do not pull out the power cord
before updating the TOC (while "TOC" is lit) or
while updating the TOC (while "TOC" is flashing)
to ensure the complete recording.

Insert a recordable MD, then press
MD D.SKIP on the remote
repeatedly so the button of the
desired MD lights green.

You can record on any of the MDs in
MD 1 - 5. If the MD has been partially
recorded, recording starts after the
recorded tracks.

Load a CD (CDs), and set the CD to

playing or playing pause.

To record tracks in the order you
programed, press PLAY MODE
repeatedly until "PROGRAM" appears.

Press REC.

The MD deck stands by for recording.
