Editing an MD

Before you start

editing

You can edit the recorded tracks on an MD by
moving and erasing tracks, etc. By editing the
recorded tracks, you can create original MD
albums without dubbing between MDs.

Editing functions

• Name — Labeling MDs and tracks

You can create titles for your recorded
MDs and tracks using alphabet letters
(upper and lower cases), numbers and
some symbols.

• Erase — Erasing re^rdings

You can erase unwanted tracks.

• Move — Moving recorded tracks

You can freely change the order of the
recorded tracks.

• Divide — Adding track numbers

When you divide a track, a track number is
added at the start of the new track.
You can also mark track numbers in the
middle of a track, letting you easily find
your favorite phrases.

• Combine — Combining recorded

tracks

This function erases the blank space
between two tracks and joins them into a
single track.
This function also lets you join separated
tracks such as tracks 1 and 4.

• Undo — Undoing the last edit

If you erase the wrong track or change the
track order incorrectly, this function lets
you cancel the last edit and restore the
tracks and track order to the condition
before the edit.

Before you start editing

• The MD is not record-protected.
• The MD play mode is normal play.

to turn off the system.

"TOC writing" flashes. The MD Table of

Contents (TOC) is updated and editing is
completed.

MD editing is completed when the MD Table of

Contents (TCC) is updated. The TOC is updated
when you eject the MD or press l/(i) (power) and
turn off the system. Do not pull out the power cord
before updating the TOC (while "TOC" is lit) or
while updating the TOC (while "TOC" is flashing)
to ensure the complete editing.
