Connecting a Phone Line
You need to connect a phone line to take advantage of online services, the
Internet, and Sony Online Support.
^ In adef to regteter your Sony VAIO Notebook Con^ter, register your software online, and
use Sony Online Support you must connect to a phone line. Also, you must register yow
computer to receive the extended warranty.
Pull the PC card release buttons away from the computer.

Plug one end of the phone cable into the phone line jack on the
computer.

Plug the other end into the wall jack.
^ Your computer does not work with party lines, carmot be connected to a coin-operated
telephone, and may not work with multiple phone lines or a private branch exchange (pBX).
