10.2.1. Cleaning Steel Mesh Guard (for IP52 Protection Class only)
If you have ordered a KISS 2U Short V2 platform with IP52 Protection Class, the filter mat holder (Fig. 45) is fitted with an
additional steel mesh guard (Fig. 46).
In order to remove the steel mesh guard, follow the steps 1 to 3 of the section 10.2 “Cleaning the Filter Mat”.
Use a vacuum cleaner or compressed air to remove dust and debris from the steel mesh guard.
Reinsert the steel mesh guard (Fig. 46) and filter mat (Fig. 44) after cleaning into the filter mat holder (Fig. 42). The
positioning of the protective steel mesh guard and the filter mat in the filter mat holder is shown in Fig. 47.
Reattach the filter mat holder to the front side of the fan slide-in module as described in the section 10.2 “Cleaning the
Filter Mat”, step 7 and 8.

The frontal IP52 protection class is ensured for the KISS 2U Short V2 platform only with an additional
inserted steel mesh guard, and with closed front access panel.
