Power Source Connection

Follow these steps to connect the power source:

1.

Connect the power source connector/s to the corresponding connector/s

located on the rear side of the RAID subsystem (refer to

).

In order to provide stable power, we recommend to connect

subsystem.

Serial 3-Pin Cable Connection for RAID Monitoring

Kontron delivers a serial 3-pin cable connector, in order to use the tools of the
KSView management software for RAID monitoring (refer to the chapter “System

easy, intuitive manner.

Follow these steps to connect the serial 3-pin cable connector:

1.

Mount the bracket with the 9-pin D-SUB connector to the free slot of the
computer (refer to the step 4 described in the “KISS-Stor 0/5 Physical

2.

Connect the 3-pin connector of this cable to the 3-pin serial port of the KISS-
Stor 0/5 (please observe the hints described in the “Rear View”, “Serial RS232
Connector” chapter).

3.

Connect the serial port of RAID subsystem (refer to step 1) with the external
serial port (RS232) of the computer via the supplied serial adapter cable
(9-pin D-SUB, female on both ends).
