Open carrying case, inventory
items and check for:

Previously recorded faults on
maintenance records,
DA Form 2404.
Inspect all lenses (objective,
eyepiece, IR lens and highlight
cutoff window) for dirt, fingerprint
residue, chips, or cracks. If
necessary, clean and dry lenses
with water and lens tissue.
