1 Turn the select dial and

set the guide number
(GN) so that the optimum
camera to subject

distance is set to the
distance to the subject.

The optimum camera to subject

distance changes depending on

the digital camera settings (ISO
sensitivity, aperture, focal length

and shutter speed).

Press the shutter button

all the way down, and

take the photo.

If the ISO sensitivity is [100], the

optimum camera to subject

distance can be calculated by

dividing the guide number (GN)

by the aperture. (P43)

The optimum camera to subject
distance is an estimate.
