Using the Menu Function

♦The Menu Function is used to select the items shown

in the Viewfinder on the right.

0: For selecting the VHS mode or S-VHS mode.

d): For selecting “EC30”, “EC45” or "EC60” according

to the video cassette being used.

For turning the On-Screen Display Function on or
off:
When set to “ON”, all Indications appear in the
Viewfinder.
When set to “OFP, only the Waming/Alarm

Indications, Tape Operation Mode and Date and

Time indications appear in the Viewfinder.

For selecting the desired user code system for

VITC. (p. 54)

d): For selecting the “CINEMA” Mode or recording in

the normal format.
When set to "ON”, a black band appears at the top
and bottom on the Viewfinder screen, as shown on
the right, and recording is possible in a
“cinema-like” format.

Recording a Stiii Picture for

5 Seconds (Snapshot)

Recording a still picture for approx. 5 seconds can be
performed by pressing a single button in the Recording
Pause Mode.

(When using this function repeatedly, wait at least 2 to

3 seconds before pressing this Button again.)
