• During AEB shooting, the <7> arrow will appear next to the <L> icon and the

AEB level <x> will be displayed. In the viewfinder, the <j> icon will blink.

• In the <H> film advance mode, the camera stops shooting automatically

after taking the three AEB shots. In the <J> (single frame) mode, press the
shutter button completely three times to take the three AEB shots.

• If you use the self-timer or remote control, the three AEB shots will be taken

continuously automatically.

• If C.Fn-05-1 is set (mirror lockup), single-frame film advance will take effect

during AEB shooting even if the continuous film advance mode has been set.

• AEB can also be set in combination with exposure compensation. If you set

the exposure compensation amount beyond the displayable range, the
indicator will look as shown below. However, the exposure compensation
amount will still take effect.
In the <S> <R> <E> <Q> modes:

: ±1 stop AEB.

: ±1 stop AEB with –1-stop exposure compensation.

: ±1 stop AEB with –1.5-stop exposure compensation.

: ±1 stop AEB with –2-stop exposure compensation.

In the <W> mode:

: ±1 stop AEB with –2-stop exposure compensation.

: ±1 stop AEB with over –2-stop exposure compensation.

Canceling AEB

After the three bracketed shots are
taken, the AEB setting will not be
canceled automatically. To cancel
AEB, follow steps

1

and

2

to set the

AEB amount to “Z”.

AEB will also be canceled
automatically if the flash is ready to fire.

AEB cannot be used with flash or bulb exposures.
